Elliott is the UK’s largest provider of portable accommodation facilities including portable cabins, modular buildings, secure storage, portable toilets, temporary kitchens, temporary fencing and fast track building solutions from locations throughout the UK. Elliott has been providing a diverse range of portable building solutions and related services to every market since 1963. Elliott provide a fast and effective service to ensure their customers receive the most modern advanced portable building facilities dedicated to their specific requirements.

The Issue

Elliott had been using a bespoke green screen system written and developed in-house, which had served them very well, but it needed updating and modernising to a more automated, Windows-based system. Elliott needed to progress from this green screen system to an all-encompassing system whose maintenance and development could be outsourced and which linked and wrote back to the existing CRM database. When Elliott decided to look for another rental management system, they had certain criteria that they were you looking for in terms of both the company and the product. They required a reliable, tried-and-tested system which could be tailored to their needs with the backup of a dependable support team.

The Solution

Elliott selected inspHire Corporate Edition Rental software solution.

“inspHire was able to meet practically all of our requirements and have continued to develop our needs further in upgrades over the years. We have been encouraged to be actively involved in all Beta-testing of upgrades prior to implementation.

Implementation went relatively smoothly given the widespread reach of our company; we had support on hand from inspHire at various UK locations for the first few operational days. In addition we were happy with the training we received at the time of implementation and continue to receive ongoing training and support as the system develops”.

inspHire has brought all the hire processes together making the system easier to train and maintain. Asset management is more comprehensive and the Elliott management is able to report on activities as and when it needs to. Elliott has continued to develop inspHire as needs have diversified, as well as linking with records writing back to the in-house CRM database.

Elliott utilise inspHire WebPortal.

The inspHire WebPortal module links into the inspHire rental management system allowing Elliott Hire customers to access information about the equipment they have on hire whenever they want it. The information is accessed directly from inspHire, giving them up to the minute, live information about their own hire activities, freeing up time for Elliott to get on with running its own hire business.

Elliott began using inspHire WebPortal creating the “Elliott Hire Extra” resource for their customers and giving them secure on-line access to their Elliott Hire contract details to enable them to easily manage their own projects.  “Our customers now have secure, independent, free access to view their own account information and history as and when they want without the need to contact our staff. We have listened to feedback from our customers and developed Elliott Hire Extra to meet their requirements. inspHire have managed to comply with all our development requirements so far”.
